o. How is everyone doing this fine, day? Its me the favorite missionary! (if you live in ABQ) If you say otherwise, you're lying to yourself, and we wouldn't want to be liars...
But onto these lovely stories of my week, that I've put lots of consideration into it (so don't just skim read it, but maybe even pray to know of its righteous-ness)
Monday (woo!)
We got transfer news! Now if you didn't read my whole email last week (you slackers) Then it will be a surprise for you to know that I'm staying for a 4th transfer! (I'm starting to enjoy it.. but don't make me do 5th pls). I'm also becoming a Trio, which I thought was going to be an issue, but it's very chill and more fun!
So I'm with Elder Robinson & Lewis, and Elder Adams is with Elder Willie (a Legend, like a dragon or a unicorn)
But for the rest of the day it was pretty normal, I think.. We did some calling & emailing in the morning with heading to the church next (normal). Then we left as the district decided we were going to Southgate Mall (not normal). Got a little Dino-soar-us key chain (should be normal). Then got some PrimeTime to end off the mall experience, and got to talk to Westergard before he leaves the area, and also talked with Sis. De Los Santos. (normal?)
Then we came home, did more calling of the fam-fam. Then had dinner w/ Bectells!
And finished the day off with getting a haircut!
Tuesday!
Also known as Pre-Transfers.. we did some work that day, like our usual service, and almost found someone but we would need a return appointment.. :(
Then we went to the institute to barrow a car from the Manderin Elders Thunell & Miles! With the car we visited the Noad's and Sis. Hampton, then had dinner w/ Hudson's and did a member Lesson with them, hence we visited the Crawfords, and stayed there talking a little too long.. but managed to get the car back to the lovely elders, and had them drop us off.
When we got home, I had some of Elder Andersen Birthday Cake, and so Happy Birthday E. Andersen!
Wednesday
Transfers!!
Just a chill morning with some packing up, we hungout at transfers till President told us to go home but talked to many Elders & Sisters! Got back to the apartment, did some unpacking and organizing, then went out and did some door knocking! We then headed to dinner with the Bester's and their family, then did some "workingout-ing"
Thursday!
Was a fun day! Couldn't actually remember much, but we did street contacting and got a find! Then did some stop bys, had an interesting route to dinner, but had an amazing dinner with the Gilson's!
Friday!
We started changing how the days are going, as we used to really only go street contacting. But now we do calls throughout the day, some street contacting, and stop bys of members and friends!
And now we're actually teaching people (that aren't members) so Woo! Yay for actual missionary work!
We got 2 finds that day and finished our finding goal of 4/4 people! So we went back home and slept for the rest of the week!
I'm joking.. we would never do that..
(Don't tell President)
For dinner we went to Costco, and a member of a different ward saw us, and bought a full pizza, ice cream, and cookies for all of us.. Legendary!!
Saturday!
We started of this lovely day by helping some members move.. the Strong's (I didn't see them move a couch... but who knows maybe they are strong). A bucket load of Strathcona members helped us move them out. We stayed a full 2 hours to empty their house, and help them clean! We then raced home to change to go to the Baptism of the other Forest Heights Elders!
We also found our friend Gaurav!
After the Lovely Baptism, we headed downtown for street contacting and stop bys, we then went to dinner at Costco and bearly ordered in time just before the 6pm store closing shutoff! A very cheap dinner!
Sunday, was Chaotic!
We had all 3 wards that go to that building meet at the same time, with 7 total missionaries there is wasn't too bad including 2 elders who showed up near the end for stuff. We also had our friend Gaurav show up today! Many conversations were done at the Linger Longer afterwards. Then the rest of the day was very chill, did some stop bys, and dinner at the Bennett's!
Also a weird FHE, where the Strathcona ward may meet its end... (dun dun dun)
Monday, we're back here again..
We had some lessons planned, and did a member Lesson with the Noad's, then we did some stop bys including walking down a lot of stairs and walking up a steep hill..
But we had a lesson with out friend Gaurav and he seems to be making very good progress, maybe even soon to be Baptized??? (He even wanted to go street contacting with us..)
But that is the past week and such so far. The Biography of my mission life probably won't be published till around 2048, but till then you can enjoy these lovely pictures! ☺️
