Dec 1st- Man, Am I High?

Dec 1st- Man, Am I High?

Random Weekly-

I'm finally driving again! To be fair, not exactly the time of the year I want to be driving... but I can get good at it now, and get less snow driving awareness lectures from my mom when I'm going to Idaho.. (not that ill have a car anyways...)

High Level Info-
So my area is the size of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho combined. It took me 8 hours to drive up here. I'm 3 hours away from the nearest missionaries, and the nearest Walmart. The furtherest town in my area is 10.5 hours away, and requires a ferry to go across a river..   We are also the halfway mark for (if) you are driving up to Yellow Knife (which is 17 hours from the City) and this is the most Northern town in Alberta!

Monday-
Transfer News!

I'm going to High Level! A new and much northern place! 8 total hours away from the city, and 3 hours from the nearest Walmart... or missionaries.

I started packing, and had an amazing dinner with Sister Crawford. And the BEST CAKE i may ever have on the mission and in Canada and in the next year!

Tuesday-
Lots of member stopbys today!

We did contacting and packing in the morning. With a nice BarBurrito Lunch!

A little bit of knocking!

Visited the Giddey's, and got a Cookie!

Visited the Noad's, and got a drawn picture of Jesus!

Got Pizza dinner from Kozak's!

Visited the Miller's and got Smoked Salmon..

Visited the (young) Callahan's, and did some serious planning for the Greenie... lol, its gonna be nuts for his first dinner..

Visited the (old) Callahan's, heard some stories and they have some friends up near there!

And finally visited The Hewitt's, got Pie / Ice-cream, and just talked a little bit!

Finished by continuing to pack!

Wednesday-
I finished packing, and Desmond made the Lasagna, so we hit the road for Transfers!

We got to the Riverbend Stake Centre, and had our lasagna! Very good!

Got to Sherwood Stake Centre, had a fun time hanging out with Razzy, kinda abandoned him halfway through running around Transfers tho... sorry.

Eventually got all my stuff together, and got my companion, Elder Westergard. And we hit the road.. after a short stop! Then we stopped again in Whitecourt for some chez burgers, then made it to Peace River!

R.I.P Andersen, Miles, Broadhurst, Waite

Thursday-
Still here in Peace River..
We stayed in the apartment for a bit, helping them out. Before leaving and heading up to High Level!

It was a nice drive, and i got to pass some semi / logging trucks!

Also checked out the church building... its a little snug, but its got a bigger kitchen then Drayton Valley... so im not complaining.

Friday-
We went to a members house (I think, we don't actually have half the information we should..) and gave Bro. Drury a blessing for his Brain Surgery this weekend 🙏

I only slightly messed up, but its fine, I fixed it, probably 😅

We also got groceries from them so.. noice

So I explored the town more, to get good at my snow driving skills.

Also im playing a lot of Magic the Gathering, so if you know where I can buy a Llama card. That would be great!

Saturday-
Didn't do a whole lot, texted some past referrals and got a few bashy responses, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Went out and explored town a bit more... and man is it cold 🥶.

-8°F with it feeling like -19°F is crazy for it being the beginning of the Winter... imma need some serious Warm thoughts from my South American and Islander friends..
Also MILK WAS $9???    HEH!?   (it was from a gas station..) but other stores were closed..

Had a bowl of cereal for dinner.. im going that, (not) Drayton Valley Diet

Sunday-
So.. not a good start. We woke up late... and got to church, no one was there, but we could see tire tracks so that wasn't good.

Essentially we messed up, but we ourselves did catch the closing prayer of Peace River's Sacrament meeeting... so we were there.. on a technicality.

Went to 2nd hour, went home did our studies, and continued to text / call people!

Things Happened/ Grandpa will like my photos!! :)

Things Happened / Grandpa will like my Photos!!  :-) Hi again, this week was an adventure! Almost of a life time! Because I will be back! MARK MY WORDS  Monday- Not much happened, I was recovering from the sickness last Sunday. And it was p-day with no sports happening.  But we did have dinner with the Lee's! Tuesday- We had interviews with the mission president at the stake centre that was 30 minutes away, but there was a Chick-fil-A on the way so we carefully and tactical planned our route to go to Chick-fil-A before the interviews for lunch. Had interviews, President's favorite Ice-cream flavor is Rocky Road! And on their mission board I found someone who served in Albuquerque back in 2010! We then had dinner with the Salter's! Bro. Salter is a funny guy, saying that butter is bears grease and honey is bee barf! Then went to the Rec Centre to play some floor hockey! Wednesday- We had District Council of all guys! (The sisters left our district) Then we helped with some...

Pots, Pots, and more pots....

Pots, Pots, and more Pots...   Hello wonderful Americans,   I'm realizing I'd rather be learning Samoan, then be here in the cold.. This week hasn't been all that exciting until we get to the weekend. But for now, the beginning just had some lessons, more snow, more cold, some member dinners and such. Normal missionary stuff in the Great White North. With all the snow, roads are getting slick and parking lots just have crunchy snow in them. But yet I have not seen a single snow plow truck yet, which is quite surprising. I'm also finally starting to get into being a missionary, as it doesn't feel like I'm struggling to get through each day anymore. It honestly feels like it was only 2 or 3 days ago that I sent my last email. Which is good, and hopefully it will speed up to months instead. So far this week I've been to 3 baptisms!! Neither of them I would've actually gone to, because they're not part of my area. As for the title, I've done lots of ...

Then did more service with helping a member of Strathcona move in to a part of town that is not within Strathcona boundaries.. (it's fine, I think) But went to a Peta Bake place which was good! We did some stopbys and got in contact with some people, then had dinner at the Pierson's! Wednesday Honestly not really sure what happened today..
