Dec 29th - Christmas has Come and Went

Dec 29th - Christmas has Come and Went

Random Weekly-

A great exchange and minimal dying.

Monday-
Pretty normal day except we also went out to the store, not for shopping, but to get prices of things for an AP, for reasons I cannot say.

But while I was there, I also bought a 4L thing of ice-cream for the absurd price of $9.99 (and not a chicken pot pie).

Tuesday-
We went out to the Drury's (a member) and were going to help shovel, but they said it was too cold out (-27°C). So we went to their house with the idea of picking up some food for Christmas, but ended up getting fed, and given a mysterious Pickle Christmas tree ornament.

Played some Magic, in the evening as well.

Wednesday-
Christmas time is here! (I don't remember the rest of the lyrics..)

We had a District Council, but it was with the Zone as a "Christmas Special" It was definitely different but still lots of fun, and a very interesting spiritual thought by Elder Robinson.

Also went 40 minutes over, like cant believe it.

And we tried to go shopping for a Christmas Roast, but it was all closed and it was only -35°c outside... (disappointed)

Thursday-
Christmas Day!

I opened presents with my family and took a Family picture, except im in there twice! Lucky me!

Just talked with my family all day and packed for an exchange woo!

Friday-
We got up and driving to exchange!

I went with Matthews down to Peace River!
And we managed to get back without trouble besides the blinding snow storm..
And for Crum & Westergard they only slightly slipped into a ditch.. but 0 damage!

Had some very good breakfast burritos, and then we hit up the store for some Boxing Day treats!

Went knocking a little bit, and hit up this hill and went **"snowboarding" and I tried to slide down on my own, but it doesn't work well without snow pants. :(

Headed back to the apartment, to warm up and cook some steaks for Elder Matthew 6 Month Mark!!! 🎉🥳🎉        5 Months ago...

Had to go back out knocking again, and they were all catholic... kinda strange.

Did a stopby of a bajillion grey dots, and surprise surprise.. they don't live there anymore.

And had to hit up Dairy Queen ofc, no better time then when its -21°C to get ice cream 😋

Saturday-
President Holland Died :(

We exchanged back! And went shopping for our "Christmas Dinner" and then started the salting process..

Contacted some people and a few stopbys.

Sunday-
Had church!

Went through an contacted A LOT OF PEOPLE then got bored and moved it to another day.

And had some of the Christmas dinner! Until I started dying a little, but I'm A-O-K!

**For legal reasons, the ["Snowboarding"] was done in a safe environment and a sledding hill park, not a ski hill.

Things Happened/ Grandpa will like my photos!! :)

Things Happened / Grandpa will like my Photos!!  :-) Hi again, this week was an adventure! Almost of a life time! Because I will be back! MARK MY WORDS  Monday- Not much happened, I was recovering from the sickness last Sunday. And it was p-day with no sports happening.  But we did have dinner with the Lee's! Tuesday- We had interviews with the mission president at the stake centre that was 30 minutes away, but there was a Chick-fil-A on the way so we carefully and tactical planned our route to go to Chick-fil-A before the interviews for lunch. Had interviews, President's favorite Ice-cream flavor is Rocky Road! And on their mission board I found someone who served in Albuquerque back in 2010! We then had dinner with the Salter's! Bro. Salter is a funny guy, saying that butter is bears grease and honey is bee barf! Then went to the Rec Centre to play some floor hockey! Wednesday- We had District Council of all guys! (The sisters left our district) Then we helped with some...

Pots, Pots, and more pots....

Pots, Pots, and more Pots...   Hello wonderful Americans,   I'm realizing I'd rather be learning Samoan, then be here in the cold.. This week hasn't been all that exciting until we get to the weekend. But for now, the beginning just had some lessons, more snow, more cold, some member dinners and such. Normal missionary stuff in the Great White North. With all the snow, roads are getting slick and parking lots just have crunchy snow in them. But yet I have not seen a single snow plow truck yet, which is quite surprising. I'm also finally starting to get into being a missionary, as it doesn't feel like I'm struggling to get through each day anymore. It honestly feels like it was only 2 or 3 days ago that I sent my last email. Which is good, and hopefully it will speed up to months instead. So far this week I've been to 3 baptisms!! Neither of them I would've actually gone to, because they're not part of my area. As for the title, I've done lots of ...

Nature Walks by the River Hi.  Invite your friends! (To something, maybe my emails??) Monday We went Thrifting for our District sports.... But we got Costco! Woo! Then went shopping woo! Then did more service with helping a member of Strathcona move in to a part of town that is not within Strathcona boundaries.. (it's fine, I think) But went to a Peta Bake place which was good! We did some stopbys and got in contact with some people, then had dinner at the Pierson's! Wednesday Honestly not really sure what happened today.. But we got Krispy Kreme donuts for District Council  +5 points for District Leader! After collecting the donuts, but before the Council comes forward to decide who has to leave the island...
