 Bye, bye, bye, bye! -NSYNC

I Give Thanks to the Internet!

I Give Thanks to the Friends I've made so far!

I Give Thanks to the Family that I have (that aren't sending me pictures of sushi that I don't have, you know who you are...) and are supporting me!

Happy FUMMER!

Monday
We woke up, and made French toast, but didn't have milk so we made a quick stop at the store and got the milk and some other stuff!

Came back got French toast, along with emails and calls.

Got to see my cousins for a bit over the phone, who are serving missions!

Had dinner with the Bennett's and taught the boys another lesson!

And we had some time, so we went fishing! We didn't catch anything :( but my companion did try to Revive a fish, even encouraged it by talking about a priesthood blessing... but it didn't work :(

Tuesday-
We took a sick day for Dwindy!

But we still had Exchanges, and Elder Smith came here switching with Ras-moose-en. I was deemed worthy to hold Sim, and my goodness I forgot how fast it drains your battery!

I got my Package from my favorite sister! With a rubber ducky, beef Jerky, and a singular hat!

I also got my Duolingo English Score to 130, along with sleeping on the balcony while it rained!

Now you may be thinking, Elder, stop slacking off and door work.. but contrary to what you may think, my little friend, we got 2 finds from calling yellow dots!

And then we had chicken & rice for dinner! And had Youth Night! In which was the Pinewood Derby (which they called Cub Cars) and we Won!!!! The award of Slowest Car 🐌...

Then sis. Christensen bought us ice cream and ate it at her house, and this time I didn't eat the whole container in one go (I think im getting old)

Wednesday-
We woke up at O' dark 30, and went to exchange back!

Then came back, and worked on Duolingo! With lunch as double patty burgers!

Headed to District Council, thinking I was doing a training, instead we watched the Joseph Smith Restoration Movie, and also tried Honey Butter chips... it tasted as if you drizzled a little honey on a stick of butter.. then ate that stick of butter....

I'll let that one sit in your head..

We (I) got cheese cloth at Walmart, then stopped at the library for some Facebook-ing. Then we went knocking and met Brad, who wasn't all that interested but willing to meet again (future: it seems he has forgotten to reply to all our texts...) and someone else who we gave a Book of Mormon too! And I ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED my ankle! On these dang curbs that are like switchbacks in Colorado!!

(My ankles are fine, they just hurt for a bit.. did more damage to my palms..)

Had ice cream for dinner, then went downstairs for some Nachos and Oilers 4-3! Total: 1-0!

Thursday-
Woke up, probably ate food, morning complete!

Helped Sis. Christensen pick up a couch from Spruce Grove, and she yelled at the garbage men that were just about to take the couch, then she got something at Staples, so we sat on the couch. Then had lunch at Denny's which it has been 4-5 years since I've last gone, but the Berry French Toast Slam was good!

Did some Napping / Studying, as well as taking some time to make Horchata, it didn't end up very well :(

We went to dinner with the Sykes, and Bro. Sykes taught us to shin our shoes, and headed over to the Olsen's after to celebrate Bro. Olsen's 91st Birthday! And they gave us cake and Ice-cream! But the Ice-cream had Reece's pieces in it, so I just dug around them... (still alive!)

And fishing went decent, got some bites and Dwindy got a fish! So we just got to keep Swimming!

Friday-
We helped the Marshall move more stuff, I'm getting tired of this. I climbed about 30-40 flights of stairs this time...

We then went to Sis. Christensen's and helped more with the yard & Connor (her son) helped cut down trees with the chainsaw! We also got Slurpees! We helped her for 3-4 hours, she also fed us lunch, like a dawg.

We prepared for a lesson at 4:30, but it fell through because they won tickets to the Oilers game and went to it! So we tried our friend Brad, but he wasn't home!

After we went to dinner and I got a sweet Aladdin tie from Bro. Jensen and lots of cool stories from his mission and Britiah Columbia, like him and his companion skinning snakes (because other missionaries wanted snake skin) and people yelling at them, because they were actively holding Guatemala's most deadly snake!

We then went to Al & Cathy and watch more Oilers, but they lost 5-4, so Total: 1-1

Saturday-
We helped Selvin get some food from the food bank! Then we came home and got ready for the rest of the day.

We went door knocking, no one was interested, but some people to stop by later

Had dinner with the 'shove-love-skii's and had good buttered chicken, but I badly burnt my tongue...

After we headed to Ball night, so I changed in the car, but turns out there was a wedding... so I got some pie! (They offered whip cream, so it's fine) then stopped by Hawkins & Matthew's place (got a bag of carrots!)

Came home after!

Sunday-
Got to church 1 minute early! This time & wore our new fancy Italian made Disney ties from Bro. Sykes!!!

Got to help out with a game of pictionary in YM & YW's, I can apparently draw a good baptismal font in 30 seconds!

Had a good missionary Correlation Meeting (weird topics this time, but fun)

Had dinner again w/ Sis. FABULOUS & Bro. Hamilton, the dessert had Snickers in it, she essentially just said "suffer"! Not worried at all, best type of members!

We dropped off bred to Rachél's family, they seemed pleased! Then we dropped off bred to the Olsen's and watched a cool sand art video, called "The Parable of the Slope" on Gospel Stream / YouTube, it's very distracting with how he creates the images, so it's hard to to focus!

Then went home, for a bit, then had a Thanksgiving Dinner (Rasmussen's favorite) with Al & Cathy!! Very filling dinner!

Then we helped Sis. Christensen and went home!

We later received an email from Al & Cathy, Nathan's downstairs neighbors.  Here is that email exchange and photos they sent:

Hi! We are Al and Cathy Gibbs. We have the apartment directly below Nathan, Denshin and Daniel in Stony Plain Alberta

We have gotten to know these fine polite young men as good neighbors.
Tonight we had them over fora good old fashioned turkey dinner.

Thank you so much for loving our boys!  Nathan speaks of you both with words of endearment, respect and love.  It means so much to us that he has such wonderful people around him!

When I heard they lived on the 3rd floor, I instantly felt compassion for whomever lived below them, so again, thank you for loving them!

HA ! HA! HA! Thank you. They are wonderful well mannered young men. It's all good!

Things Happened/ Grandpa will like my photos!! :)

Things Happened / Grandpa will like my Photos!!  :-) Hi again, this week was an adventure! Almost of a life time! Because I will be back! MARK MY WORDS  Monday- Not much happened, I was recovering from the sickness last Sunday. And it was p-day with no sports happening.  But we did have dinner with the Lee's! Tuesday- We had interviews with the mission president at the stake centre that was 30 minutes away, but there was a Chick-fil-A on the way so we carefully and tactical planned our route to go to Chick-fil-A before the interviews for lunch. Had interviews, President's favorite Ice-cream flavor is Rocky Road! And on their mission board I found someone who served in Albuquerque back in 2010! We then had dinner with the Salter's! Bro. Salter is a funny guy, saying that butter is bears grease and honey is bee barf! Then went to the Rec Centre to play some floor hockey! Wednesday- We had District Council of all guys! (The sisters left our district) Then we helped with some...

Pots, Pots, and more pots....

Pots, Pots, and more Pots...   Hello wonderful Americans,   I'm realizing I'd rather be learning Samoan, then be here in the cold.. This week hasn't been all that exciting until we get to the weekend. But for now, the beginning just had some lessons, more snow, more cold, some member dinners and such. Normal missionary stuff in the Great White North. With all the snow, roads are getting slick and parking lots just have crunchy snow in them. But yet I have not seen a single snow plow truck yet, which is quite surprising. I'm also finally starting to get into being a missionary, as it doesn't feel like I'm struggling to get through each day anymore. It honestly feels like it was only 2 or 3 days ago that I sent my last email. Which is good, and hopefully it will speed up to months instead. So far this week I've been to 3 baptisms!! Neither of them I would've actually gone to, because they're not part of my area. As for the title, I've done lots of ...
