I'm now Manderin Speaking

I'm Now Manderin Speaking

Welp, how do your days be going?

On Wednesday we had District Council that is always chaotic, if you will, and we were given a challenge that if we invited 30 people to church (through phone calls or in-person) before Saturday at 9pm then we'd win a prize. Now I like prizes, but I don't like street contacting all that much. But non the less we started.

On Thursday the high was -1° with a low of -13° just about no longer shorts weather.. We were able to meet with our recent Convert Eyerusalem and share a small message with her, but for the challenge we only got 4 invites, it ain't going good..

On Friday not a lot of missionary work got done, all our lessons got dropped. So we went street contacting for about 3.5 hours, and over that time we were able to get over 30 invites!!!! Now the people with the Most invites get a second prize... so we tried for that the next day.

On Saturday it was a little different since we had exchanges!!! The most beautiful thing, I got to go to Manderin!!
Two things about Manderin, is that they speak Manderin (Chinese) and they have almost the entire mission as their area..
But anyway, I went to the area with E. Hobson & Thunell as my companions for the day. We didn't do anything much different then what I normally do, but it's always good to hangout with others.

First we went to English Class, were we teach Chinese people English! And that was fun I learned a lot about emotions, and how to pronounce them 😁

Then we went back got some lunch at this Ramen Place called Tanzen (Legendary)
And then headed off for downtown, except I finally got to ride the LRT (or the train) and honestly it's a lot nicer, as we don't have to worry about how much time we have left till the 2 hour parking is up, and so we just walked around downtown for 4.5 hours, and we got up to 80 total invites from the 2 they had previously!

Then later in the night, we just hung out and saw some wild elders doing an Irish gig, while playing a (3D printed) ocarina!

Sunday was a bit chaotical, as we got SMS ward at 9, a FH ward Correlation at 10, FH ward at 10:30, and SMS ward Correlation at 11:45. So very busy and lots of running around, but it was a good day.

And now Monday, we're we played Floor Hockey AGAIN!!!!! And went to McDonald's!! I got a Big
mac (in case President Christensen was wondering)  Then later tonight we have a member meal!! Woo!!

For legal reasons,
[I'm not actually Manderin Speaking, it was a joke]

Things Happened/ Grandpa will like my photos!! :)

Things Happened / Grandpa will like my Photos!!  :-) Hi again, this week was an adventure! Almost of a life time! Because I will be back! MARK MY WORDS  Monday- Not much happened, I was recovering from the sickness last Sunday. And it was p-day with no sports happening.  But we did have dinner with the Lee's! Tuesday- We had interviews with the mission president at the stake centre that was 30 minutes away, but there was a Chick-fil-A on the way so we carefully and tactical planned our route to go to Chick-fil-A before the interviews for lunch. Had interviews, President's favorite Ice-cream flavor is Rocky Road! And on their mission board I found someone who served in Albuquerque back in 2010! We then had dinner with the Salter's! Bro. Salter is a funny guy, saying that butter is bears grease and honey is bee barf! Then went to the Rec Centre to play some floor hockey! Wednesday- We had District Council of all guys! (The sisters left our district) Then we helped with some...

Pots, Pots, and more pots....

Pots, Pots, and more Pots...   Hello wonderful Americans,   I'm realizing I'd rather be learning Samoan, then be here in the cold.. This week hasn't been all that exciting until we get to the weekend. But for now, the beginning just had some lessons, more snow, more cold, some member dinners and such. Normal missionary stuff in the Great White North. With all the snow, roads are getting slick and parking lots just have crunchy snow in them. But yet I have not seen a single snow plow truck yet, which is quite surprising. I'm also finally starting to get into being a missionary, as it doesn't feel like I'm struggling to get through each day anymore. It honestly feels like it was only 2 or 3 days ago that I sent my last email. Which is good, and hopefully it will speed up to months instead. So far this week I've been to 3 baptisms!! Neither of them I would've actually gone to, because they're not part of my area. As for the title, I've done lots of ...
