Sep 29th - Getting Hunted by Teenage Girls...

Heyo, this week was actually a lot of fun (not that every week with Sealairo isn't at least a little fun)

Met a lot of new friends within Zone Conference, which is absolutely dope as a lot of my mission friends are going to be leaving with 6 months time 😢

Monday-
So relatively nothing today...
Did find a rock climbing wall and did injury my hand slightly, but it only took off the first layer of skin, so im chilling 😎.

Found some ice-cream!

Did some church activities, like working on my map, and "not" scrolling Facebook.

Went to dinner at the Ethridge's, and their going to Albuquerque for the Balloon festival! (First person to take a picture with them get a crisp high-five from me)

Then we headed back after the extremely apostate hour and a half dinner, and went shopping! (I found pop' tarts 😁)

Ate cookies and called the familia!

Tuesday-
We got a referral today! But I'll talk about that story later... its a little interesting..

We went out to Wendy's for lunch! Sealairo got out of the car a little earlier then I did, and a group of high-school girls waved at him, so he waved back.. and then the girls said to each other "why do you always go for the quiet guys?"..

After Wendy's, we went to a Thrift store and Sealairo got his own hockey stick.

We went out and did some knocking and met Jennifer and helped Bro. Hewitt with his truck cover!

We continued to do stopbys and had a quick porch lesson with Tressa, who we've tried to have lessons with in the past.

And finally near the new of the night, we went out to this neighborhood to stop by Paula and knock some neighbors, but after knocking 4 doors, we got a referral! Turns out the referral is a guy we've been trying ro meet with, but was always drunk. So we called it, and we had liek 0 service so we told him we'd call when we were back in town. So we rushed back into town to call him, and he picked up and said he was with a hooker.. and hung up. Idk why he answered, but thats nice.

Then we went to Dairy Queen and Sealairo ordered a blizzard, and sat down... (i thought he bought me a blizzard aswell) so I followed and sat down, and out come 2 Blizzards so I start eating and eventually we discover that Sealairo did indeed NOT buy me a blizzard, and they gave me one. So I went back by the advice of Sealairo to offer and they just gave it to me for free! The girls working also looked really confused.. but thats fine🙂

Wednesday-
Okay, legit not a lot of important stuff happened today till we got to the evening.
We had dinner with the Stark's, and after we found the Canadian version of Girl Scout cookies, and I of course bought the Thin Mints.

After that we went to the youth activity to celebrate our Bishop's 50th birthday (yes i did tell him he's old, and yes he did laugh, and no im not in trouble because of it). Lots of fun happened like enjoying the different flavors of ice-cream, and talking to bishop about camping and backpacking (it was like talking to my dad, except he isn't my dad, crazy how things work like that) then the youth (the crazy rambunctious Young Men) were told that they could go play on the hay bales, and as an adult, I had to supervise to make sure that nothing terribly wrong happened... so I also went to play on the hay bales... it was indeed lots of fun 😁

Also side note, Bishop Jensen looks (from what i remember) almost perfectly identical to my AP Gov teacher... like crazy Identical, if someone has a picture of Mr. Freeman, I would gladly appreciate it!

Thursday-
Well i got to say Thursday was exciting, but significantly less fun then Wednesday night..

We organized clothes at the Warming Hearts service, and had a good lesson with Elizabeth! After we had some weekly planning... and after another boring session (weekly planning in Stony was a lot better, ngl) we had a great lesson with Barb! We had a couple stopbys, but headed back for dinner, and packing to travel to the Zone Leader's place! We could've done a more direct route... but we wanted Chick-fil-A.. so we made an alternate route. Surprisingly we say 2 other Companionships at CFA, 2 elders and 2 sisters.. just trading drugs. (The Elders had to get back to there area to eat cinnamon rolls with their roomies) so we got CFA and rolled out (Autobots)!

Got to their apartment and had some mischief fun! Like eating some of Lewis's ice-cream without him knowing, while he was looking directly at me... (couldn't have done it without E. Garrett's Tuna fish Spoon!)

Friday-
It was an amazing day, and not just because we had 0 missionary work. We woke up and got to Zone Conference, and got to see many friends! Elder Miles, Andersen, Fisher, Smith, Letourneau, and many others!

Some great trainings on Obedience. They were much different from the other ones by President Stott, they were a lot more enjoyable and more focused on what we can do to be better, and not just telling us to be better.

And Elder Pearce, I could go on about him. He's absolutely legendary, and honestly almost exactly like me! Except I don't play football. But I had lots of time to hangout with him while waiting for interviews, and we got a lot of mutual friends, which ain't surprising, since he only lived around 40 minutes out!

We also got a picture of our district! But I look absolutely cooked in it. (picture at the bottom)

Saturday-
Good day today! The morning wasn't the best but we replanned after lunch using my spirit lead toe (it had a sock on, dont worry) to pick a place. Surprisingly it clicked a dot, and we visited her, and she may be coming to church tomorrow!

The rest of the day was filled with visiting people that we'd previously marked down.

In the night, we were getting some gas, and as we are pulling out, we see a familiar face. The Popcorn Girls, from the service! As we pull out she yells out her window "Hey, Come back!"

We drive off, and ultimately we decided to drive back. We pull up, and they're gone, so we got back to what we were doing which was stopping by a member. We park outside the members place, and these girls drive past us like 3 or 4 times... we do the stopby then drive away.. we end up passing them (us going one way, them going another) and we end up losing them in the alleyways.

We did some 6 list, and headed back.

Legit it was so fun, and I can officially cross it off the bucket list of: Getting chased down by girls..

Arn't you proud of me, Mom!
😁

Sunday-
Sunday! Yay! Its P-day Eve!
We went to church, and had no friends show up! But we did have a member baptism after! That was cool.. tho it wasn't cool to have to lock up...

We went over to the Pond for "Dinner" at 2pm, and after 1 hour we finally started to have "dinner" and it was delicious!

We did some stopbys which really only included visiting 2 members, one of them was an hour long doorstep convo (my legs got tired) and the other was a guy who was baptized in the church, but "left" at 15. He loves the church and the people, just won't be coming back. Which is chill!

Had dinner, which was sitting in the room telling my companion on how realistically speaking a truck wouldn't be able to fit through the Drayton valley church building's front door, this is based on the fact that the 'front door' is the one of the least used doors, so I consider the side door that everyone uses the Front door... Sealairo also said that it was insensitive to talk bout that... but im just stating an fact...

Did some more stopbys, and now were watching FHE!

Things Happened/ Grandpa will like my photos!! :)

Things Happened / Grandpa will like my Photos!!  :-) Hi again, this week was an adventure! Almost of a life time! Because I will be back! MARK MY WORDS  Monday- Not much happened, I was recovering from the sickness last Sunday. And it was p-day with no sports happening.  But we did have dinner with the Lee's! Tuesday- We had interviews with the mission president at the stake centre that was 30 minutes away, but there was a Chick-fil-A on the way so we carefully and tactical planned our route to go to Chick-fil-A before the interviews for lunch. Had interviews, President's favorite Ice-cream flavor is Rocky Road! And on their mission board I found someone who served in Albuquerque back in 2010! We then had dinner with the Salter's! Bro. Salter is a funny guy, saying that butter is bears grease and honey is bee barf! Then went to the Rec Centre to play some floor hockey! Wednesday- We had District Council of all guys! (The sisters left our district) Then we helped with some...

Pots, Pots, and more pots....

Pots, Pots, and more Pots...   Hello wonderful Americans,   I'm realizing I'd rather be learning Samoan, then be here in the cold.. This week hasn't been all that exciting until we get to the weekend. But for now, the beginning just had some lessons, more snow, more cold, some member dinners and such. Normal missionary stuff in the Great White North. With all the snow, roads are getting slick and parking lots just have crunchy snow in them. But yet I have not seen a single snow plow truck yet, which is quite surprising. I'm also finally starting to get into being a missionary, as it doesn't feel like I'm struggling to get through each day anymore. It honestly feels like it was only 2 or 3 days ago that I sent my last email. Which is good, and hopefully it will speed up to months instead. So far this week I've been to 3 baptisms!! Neither of them I would've actually gone to, because they're not part of my area. As for the title, I've done lots of ...
