Pots, Pots, and more Pots...
Hello wonderful Americans,
I'm realizing I'd rather be learning Samoan, then be here in the cold..
This week hasn't been all that exciting until we get to the weekend. But for now, the beginning just had some lessons, more snow, more cold, some member dinners and such. Normal missionary stuff in the Great White North.
With all the snow, roads are getting slick and parking lots just have crunchy snow in them. But yet I have not seen a single snow plow truck yet, which is quite surprising.
I'm also finally starting to get into being a missionary, as it doesn't feel like I'm struggling to get through each day anymore. It honestly feels like it was only 2 or 3 days ago that I sent my last email. Which is good, and hopefully it will speed up to months instead.
So far this week I've been to 3 baptisms!!
Neither of them I would've actually gone to, because they're not part of my area. As for the title, I've done lots of service.. for the 2nd baptism it happened on Friday evening, when me and my companion got locked out of the apartment and decided to walk across the street to the church building.
Where we saw a baptism font filling up but it wasn't started early enough, so we went to the kitchen and started filling pots with water to help the font. Surprisingly it was a good source of exercise. And it actually helped the font be high enough for the baptism.
As for the next baptism, the 3rd one, it happened while I was on an exchange on Saturday. The senior companion, Elder Freeman had a baptism in his ward that evening, so we went to it. Turns out the Chinese Elders got the wrong information, and thought it took less time to fill the font, so with an hour left till the starting time we went to the best exercise routine that we know of... Pots.
We had a couple more elders, and was able to get a pattern going for peak efficiency, and was able to finish in time as
well.
P.S. Seriously, send me emails, I want to know what happens in your life, so I can make my week more interesting.
P.S.S it's getting down to -10°f this week, wooo!!!!
